A neutral standard for measuring what AI recommends.
AIVI and AIRS are the common units for the answer economy — one for visibility inside AI answers, one for reputation. New Realm keeps them as an open standard: the definitions and the record are public and signed; the number is designed to be citable by buyers, analysts and markets, not owned by any one seller.
What the standard measures
Whether an entity appears in an engine's answer to a real buying question, and how prominently — measured across a controlled prompt set and every major model.
When an entity does appear, how it is framed: the tone of the description and the authority of the sources the engine leaned on to say it.
Across a vertical and metro, each business's share of the recommendations — built from every business an answer names, not only the tracked ones.
These describe what is measured. The scoring formulas, weights and tier constants are proprietary and never appear on this page.
How the record is governed
Controlled & reproducible
The same prompt set runs against every model, so results compare like-for-like and a slice can be regenerated from its definition.
Signed at collection
Each observation is ed25519-signed and hash-chained the moment it is recorded, before anyone knows what it says. The record is append-only and never rewritten.
Method published, formula withheld
What is measured — visibility, reputation, distribution — and how the record is kept are public. The exact scoring weights are proprietary and are never shown on a buyer surface.
Versioned
The observation schema carries a version, so the record stays interpretable as capture improves without invalidating what came before.
The neutral arbiter — why the number is bankable
Two companies, on purpose.
CTRL Reality is the operating company — it runs audits and helps businesses improve their AI visibility. New Realm is the data company — it owns and licenses the record. Keeping them separate means the party that sells visibility improvements is not the party that keeps the scoreboard.
Signed before anyone reads it.
Because each observation is cryptographically signed at collection and the record is append-only, the number cannot be quietly adjusted to flatter a client. Independence plus signing is what lets a buyer treat the record as evidence rather than a vendor claim.

These figures are read live from the signed Panel — anyone can verify a record against the public key. Coverage and dataset sizes across New Realm are reported the same way: from real reads, never estimated.
